  1. I just take a nap I used to meditate heavy in high school due to martial arts interests back in 90s it let me doze off in class but wake up right before getting caught it seemed to make me super aware of my surroundings n make me focus better

  2. To clarify on Brian's statement on breaking the usual chain of thoughts, (not completely true). The primary purpose of TM is to allow the mind/body to enter a state of restful alertness. The traditional result of TM in the context of the Shankaracharya Tradition is to experience pure Consciousness, (Samadhi). TM alone alone may not get you into that state. In addition to TM, access "Mahamritunjaya mantra – Sacred Sounds Choir". Also, access "Om Namah Shiva – Shivnanda Adi". Listen to each video for 5 min per day. You may "transcend" within a few weeks. Neither of these persons "got" the essential meaning of "Transcendental". It's not to break the usual chain of thoughts, but to transcend thoughts altogether and enter Samadhi. (non-dual reality). Physics on the other hand, operates only in the realm of subject/object duality.. Greene is missing major goal of meditation. The two mantras will help.
