It’s the same with music. Something “new” and “innovative” comes out and the other labels scramble to find artists and/or songs that sound similar and then they sign these acts and flood the market with mediocre copy cat acts. Just as an example it happened with Nirvana and the “Grunge” movement.
To be fair, as much as I love Pulp, QT did ape a lot of scenes from other movies within Pulp…so it wasn't ENTIRELY his own creation…he just did it better
