The thing about Tarantino movies is that you know the characters are fictional, but Tarantino writes them in such a way that you can believe these characters are real people at some point. Real people have conversations about miscellaneous things. Real people are just trying to survive. Those are his characters.
So many brilliant movies have came from this man. Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown,Res Dogs, True Romance, Inglorious Bastards, Death Proof, Django and the Kill Bill ones. Just brilliant filmmaking.🙏
Well I do think Tarantino was a 90s culture phenomenon in style Natural Born Killers though probably broke the ice for overly violent and abstract interesting soundtrack etc. Oliver Stone made that happen though and Pulp Fiction was good and as a teen we liked the soundtracks at our house parties also and it wasn't all modern music Ricky Nelson for instance. I saw Pulp Fiction as a modern film noir though that aging boxer theme has been in other film noirs and the whole big bosses wife femme fatale character. I haven't watched the film in decades though I'm not fanatical about it though or any of Tarantinos films his target audience was teens and young adults though and I was one once.
This is my favorite movie of all time. (Cliche, I know) I remember my 1st time watching this movie. I had heard of the movie but had zero clue about what it was about. I was on some premium cable channel, like HBO. I had just finished watching another movie and this came on afterwards. I had it on but wasn’t really watching… the dialogue in the opening scene sucked me in. I had a “Bad Mother Fucker” wallet for years.

Tarantino was born 1963 so he's a late Boomer, not a Gen X. The cut off point for Boomers is 1965.
