He was tagging stuntmen, NOT because he didn't respect them, but because he wanted the scenes to look real. Gene LeBell was brought in to teach him the art of fighting on camera, NOT to teach him a lesson. His style changed to compliment the camera, stuntmen began to stop getting injured, and Bruce's career took off.
