This guy is trying real hard to stick to his atheist education.
We don’t even know for sure if protons decay and the heat death is just one outcome of several theories of how the universe may end. Also the nature of dark energy and matter remain enigmatic and we don’t know the possibilities surrounding their coming role in the universe. By the way considering the universe is only around 14 billion years old, extrapolating the trends observed in the cosmic history of the universe so far to a considerably longer timescale is just insufficiently substantiated. None of the theoretic endings of the universe are certain …
