As optimistic as Brian is, he still claims the non-existence of a higher power as a fact, when in reality its no more true than the existence of a higher power.
No excuse for scientists to be religious. if an educated person feels they "need" religion as a source of meaning or value, they are just weak and afraid to acknowledge the truth.
Here we go with the bearded guy in the sky smack.. Out of all the religious texts throughout time, this is the extent of their understanding of God, yet somehow some people think these people are intelligent.. ridiculous. Ok Mr Scientist whose thoughts are based in 'facts'.. Which religion and religious text states God is a bearded old man in the sky? Greek and Norse mythology? Do you actually know people of these ancient religions or is this the best you have to offer? I've actually read Flat-Earthers that have more up-to-date, relevant facts on that subject than you offer here for this. Do we really need your totally uneducated opinion based on false facts? Does science need that? Is your argument that if one religion was wrong, all religions are wrong? Then lets place that same method on science, and declare if one scientist is ever wrong, all science is wrong. Do you see where this idiotic road is taking us?

It is a matter of convenience, it’s much easier to believe that there is nothing than to come to terms that there is a Holy God who will judge you for your sin.
I will continue to pursue hate against religion as long as they try to infringe on my rights as a human. Your religion does not give you the right to govern my life. Who I love how I dress is my business keep your God out of it.
