One thing Brian is wrong on is the overlap with science
Religion is absolutely meant to be seen as fact ‘atleast abrahamic ones’
Though what I'm proposing is only a theory, I believe it makes logical sense. I believe all universes exist within God, and Jesus is God in a human body. I also believe that each universe is like a slice of bread in a loaf.
According to M-Theory, a universe can exist beside our own being only a few millimeters away, overlapping our universe but be invisible to us because it is displaced at a 90° angle in another dimension. It's the equivalent of not being able to see what's around the corner of a building.
I believe that is how Jesus can physically ascend into Heaven. Heaven is basically another world that God created, probably another universe. Even people in NDEs say that Heaven feels just as tangible as our world. Heaven isn't ghostly like many think. It has land, bodies of water, landscapes, etc. Heaven isn't some airy fairy place. So when Jesus ascended into Heaven I believe he just passed through a portal from one cosmic membrane universe into another.
I would have never imagined something like this coming from Brian Greene
I started believing in a creator after listening to so many physicists saying what happened before the Big Bang didn’t matter. Of course it does! I am rational, I don’t believe in ghosts, or angels, or reincarnation. But I am perfectly happy to know that my wife, who died 5 years ago, is in my apartment all the time; in the next room, in the kitchen, standing behind me. And this serves me well, Once I became comfortable with her presence, I didn’t need to grieve anymore. I realized I’m still happily married. By the same token, I have to believe there was a creator, who prepared the ground and set the stage for the Big Bang, then flipped the switch that turned it on.
Religious people and Atheists are only annoying when they are close-minded. In my experience it's overwhelmingly religious people, though. That's what bothers me
