This is some of dumbest stuff I've ever heard. You dont have to put yourself thru hell to enjoy the good things in life, If your not a douchebag. If you just observe and examine and learn from the mistakes of others you can grow exponentially. Sure some things have a cost, some great things you have to work hard for. But I dont get these guys putting thierselves thru hell just basically for bragging rights than saying "its the only thing that can make you grow as a person". But whatever, you do you.
