If we still have our light and warmth (love) after we drop the clothing of this physical plane…we become a bundle of light and warmth called a star shining in heaven (joy, beauty and harmony).
Love (god) knows every star by name.
If we extinguish our light and warmth with ignorance (greed/hate) we become the darkness and emptiness that surrounds the stars.
Both here on this physical plane called Earth like it is on the metaphysical plane we call heaven.
Incomplete knowledge is dangerous. Brahma and Ganesh don't have jeeva or aatma. They're a part of paramatma.

One thing I have heard about hindu theory of soul is this. Soul is eternal, body is not. Soul changes the body from time to time. Karma defines what type of life u will get. Human body is achieved after nearly a million transmigration of soul. And karma will haunt u for ur whole life and the next life after that and the next after that. Its an endless cycle. The only way to break the birth-death cycle is to merge with the brahma which can be achived if u wake ur consiousness, which is almost impossible. Siddharth Guatam aka Buddha is said to be one of those beings who has broken the birth-death cycle after achieving enlightenment.
Why does our body feel pain but our soul doesnt
