  1. At Isaiah 14, "Lucifer" is NOT Satan the Devil, for any sincere Bible student who reads the WHOLE chapter of Isaiah 14, could easily see that "Lucifer" (Latin), that literally means "shining one" is the Babylonian dynasty of kings.

What does Isaiah 14:3-6 say ? This: "In the day when Jehovah (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV) gives you (the Israelites) rest from your pain and from your turmoil and from the hard slavery imposed on you, you will recite this proverb against the king of Babylon: “How the one forcing others to work has met his end ! How the oppression has ended ! Jehovah has broken the rod of the wicked, the staff of the rulers, the one furiously striking peoples with unceasing blows, the one angrily subduing nations with relentless persecution."

So, Isaiah 14 is about the kings of Babylon, especially King Nebuchadnezzar (reigned 625-582 B.C.E.) who was aggressive in oppressing and taking down nations. The two tribe kingdom of Judah were enslaved by the Babylonians for 70 years.(Jer 25:12)

At Isaiah 14:12, it says of the Babylonian dynasty of kings: "How you have fallen from heaven, O shining one ("Lucifer", Latin), son of the dawn ! How you have been cut down to the earth, you who vanquished nations ! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to the heavens. Above the stars of God (or Judean kings) I will lift up my throne, and I will sit down on the mountain of meeting (or on the throne in Jerusalem), in the remotest parts of the north."

Then at Isaiah 14:16, 17, it says: "Those seeing you will stare at you; They will closely examine you, saying, ‘ Is this THE MAN (such as King Nebuchadnezzar) who was shaking the earth, who made kingdoms tremble, who made the inhabited earth like the wilderness and overthrew its cities, who refused to let his prisoners go home ? ’ "

Isaiah 14:20 further says: "You will not join them (kings of other nations) in a grave, for you destroyed your own LAND, you killed your own PEOPLE." Thus, "Lucifer" is NOT Satan the devil, but rather the Babylonian dynasty of kings who were oppressive, even of their own people, and that saw their downfall on October 5/6, 539 B.C.E., at the hands of the Medo-Persians.

And the cherubs were "an angelic creature of high rank having special duties, distinguished from the order of seraphs. The first of the 92 times they are mentioned in the Bible is at Genesis 3:24; after God’s driving Adam and Eve out of Eden, cherubs (Heb., keru·vim´) were posted at the E entrance with a flaming blade of a sword “to guard the way to the tree of life.” Whether more than two were stationed there is not disclosed."

"Representative figures of cherubs were included in the furnishings of the tabernacle set up in the wilderness. Rising above each end of the Ark’s cover were two cherubs of hammered gold. They were facing each other and bowing toward the cover in an attitude of worship. Each had two wings that spread upward and screened over the cover in a guarding and protecting manner. (Ex 25:10-21; 37:7-9) Also, the inner covering of tent cloths for the tabernacle and the curtain dividing the Holy from the Most Holy had embroidered cherub figures.—Ex 26:1, 31; 36:8, 35."

"These were not grotesque figures fashioned after the monstrous winged images worshiped by pagan nations round about, as some contend. According to the unanimous testimony of ancient Jewish tradition (the Bible is silent on this matter), these cherubs had human form. They were finest works of art, representing angelic creatures of glorious beauty, and were made in every detail “according to . . . the pattern” Moses received from Jehovah (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV) himself. (Ex 25:9) The apostle Paul describes them as “glorious cherubs overshadowing the propitiatory cover.” (Heb 9:5)

"These cherubs were associated with the presence of Jehovah: “And I will present myself to you there and speak with you from above the cover, from between the two cherubs that are upon the ark of the testimony.” (Ex 25:22; Nu 7:89) Hence, Jehovah was said to be “sitting upon [or, between] the cherubs.” (1Sa 4:4; 2Sa 6:2; 2Ki 19:15; 1Ch 13:6; Ps 80:1; 99:1; Isa 37:16) In symbol, the cherubs served as “the representation of the chariot” of Jehovah upon which he rode (1Ch 28:18), and the wings of the cherubs offered both guarding protection and swiftness in travel. So David, in poetic song, described the speed with which Jehovah came to his aid, like one who “came riding upon a cherub and came flying” even “upon the wings of a spirit.”—2 Sa 22:11; Ps 18:10."(Insight on the Scriptures, Vol 1, pg 432)

  2. Lucifer indeed committed the first sin ever when pride entered his once pure self. We can only speculate the very foolish move on his part in trying to “be like God”. It’s a case of the clay trying to dictate things to the potter if l may use this simple analogy. In this case God Almighty is the Master Potter and the clay is at HIS mercy all the time. Lucifer’s fate was sealed at that very instant and the most secure super duper maximum prison ever created awaits him,all fallen angels, demons and all fallen humanity…….THE LAKE OF FIRE!!! Pride is indeed evil.
