Not all believers will go directly to heaven … but there were few that i know like Enoch whom God took and Elijah who went to heaven by the chariot of fire.
Mostly will go to 'Paradise or Abraham's bossom' like the Thief in the cross and Lazarus the beggar. This led us to the fact written in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, He will descend from the heavenly realm and command those who are dead in Christ to rise first. Then we who are alive will join them, transported together in clouds to have an encounter with the Lord in the air, and we will be forever joined with the Lord. If we were to go to heaven directly when we died then for sure this text will not be written.
Paradise first then to our true destination which is heaven.
