As someone who was a victim of child abuse, these verses are striking to me because I've always heard and always been told to NOT talk about family matters or what goes on inside the house.
But I'm realizing that maybe the people who said that don't want to be EXPOSED, so they can keep doing what they are doing and/or still hold their head high in public.
