Here's what gets me. Eve gives the fruit to Adam who was with her. He was there the whole time?! Giving all those warnings to her and he couldn't lift a finger to slap the snake from talking such stuff to Eve? Really? Everyone blames Eve, but it was Adam's silence which did just as much damage.

The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of the heavens are one and the same, as at Matthew 12:28 as "the Kingdom of God" (see also Matt 19:24) and Matthew 13:11 as "the Kingdom of the heavens".(Note: the words "Kingdom of the heavens" is found only in Matthew and is used there 32 times)
In the context in which Jesus established the meaning of "the Kingdom of God" or "the Kingdom of the heavens" or God's Kingdom, it is different from God's universal sovereignty that is seen at Daniel 2:44, 45 as a "mountain", in which it says: "In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (or "the Kingdom of God", "the Kingdom of the heavens", "God's Kingdom" that was "set up" in 1914) that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever, just as you saw that out of the mountain (or God's universal sovereignty) a stone ("the kingdom of God") was cut not by hands (or through politics), and that it crushed the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The Grand God has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy.”
So, what is "the Kingdom of God" ? It is a heavenly government that was created to undo the damage caused by the rebellion in the garden of Eden some 6,000 years, that introduced sin or imperfection into us as Adam's descendants, as our original "father" who violated God's law on not eating from "the tree of knowledge of good and bad" (Gen 3:1-6; Rom 5:12), in which this law established God's right to set moral boundaries for mankind that is made in his "image", being able to understand justice and love, hate what God hates and love what he loves.(Gen 1:26; Ps 97:10)
Thus, immediately after the rebellion in the garden of Eden, God, whose name is Jehovah (see Isa 12:2, KJV), gave the first prophecy in the Bible (and the last to be completely fulfilled), of a "woman and her offspring" that would crush "the serpent in the head".(Gen 3:15)
This "woman" is NOT Eve nor Mary, but is symbolic of the body of loyal angels in heaven that would produce the first "offspring", Jesus Christ, who arrived as the promised Messiah in 29 C.E. This "woman" would later add 144,000 more imperfect "sons" to its "fold".(Rev 7:4; 14:1-3; Note: the "woman" is seen again at Isaiah 54, 60, 62, Rev 12, and Jesus speaks of her "sons" as being "taught by Jehovah" at John 6:45)
So, 144,001 selected individuals, of both Jews and Gentiles (see Rom 11:11, 12), would comprise "the Kingdom of God", that would reverse the damage done when Satan enticed Eve to eat from the forbidden tree, who in turn persuaded her husband Adam to also do so (Gen 3:1-6), bringing sin that leads to sickness and death.(see Isa 25:7, 8) This reversal will be completed at the end of Jesus Millennial reign (Rev 20:4-6), in which at that time there will now be only the foretold "meek" ones to inherit the earth forever (Ps 37:11, 29), whereby sin that leads to death has been eradicated, along with every single person on the earth who would not loyally subject themselves to God's Kingdom.
The "Kingdom of the heavens" will do as I John 3:8 states, "break up the works of the Devil", which "works" are in three major forms (1) politics, called "a wild beast" at Revelation 13:1, 2, (2) the religions of the world called Babylon the Great after its prototype of ancient Babylon as a place of noted extreme false religiousness (see Isa 47:9-13; Eze 21:21), and (3) the world of greedy commerce, called "the merchants of the earth" at Revelation 18:3, that promotes love of money.
At Matthew 21, in speaking with the wicked Pharisees, Jesus told them: "Did you never read in the Scriptures (at Ps 118:22, 23), ‘ The stone (or God's Kingdom, in which Jesus stands as its chief representative) that the builders (the Jewish religious leaders) rejected, this has become the chief cornerstone (of God's heavenly Kingdom, being the first member selected). This has come from Jehovah, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? This is why I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you (or fleshly Jews as a nation) and be given to a (new spiritual) nation producing its fruits (or holy conduct). Also, the person falling on this stone (of God's Kingdom) will be shattered. As for anyone on whom it falls, it will crush him.”(Matt 21:42-44)
