Dude seems like a humble great guy but he does seem to have a playful optimistic ignorance about hunting. Basically his mentality is "You know I've never been much of a hunter but I'm going to jump right into taking a moose and cougar with archery while surviving off-grid because I'm a SEAL". First off, 99% of people never even see a moose let alone a shooter while rifle hunting. Second, good luck getting within 20 yards of one. Chances are the only moose you will see is across 300+ yards of swamp during terrible weather (like he did). Third, he already ruined his virtual cougar hunt by planning to have a fire. There's a reason why the most experienced cougar hunters chase them into trees with dogs and take them with a rifle.
You'll get parasites man, don't do it. There's a ton of reasons people don't sell the meat of or farm carnivores!! The hunt would be rad, but the meat would be BAD!
But all you ney sayers about this idea just don't get it. I understand why he wants to do it. I would too if I were 15 years younger, but eating a true carnivore is risking a prion disease based death which is worse than dementia mixed with brain cancer.

No issue with hunting, but I DO have issues with these people who get off on killing. I mean, I know we need these primitive minded people, especially for the jobs this guy does… But at least stick to hunting down the bad guys rather than some animal you have some creepy morbid fascination with :/
Depending on where it is some mountain lions can be a nuisance or overpopulated in a certain area and at times some culling is necessary.That being said unless your hunting this animal to survive off the cougar itself then leave it alone to do its mountain lion thing.Unless your doing with with a license or to survive fuck off
