  1. Bourdain was a satanist. As are most people amongst the social elite; as is Joe Rogan. The essence of it is "poly-psychism", which means, in laymens terms, "I don't know how my mind works", and also, I don't mind putting bad stuff in there which at my lowest moments can metastasize and take me over.

So why did Bourdain kill himself? Yes, the precipitating cause was a relationship, according to this woman, that is, but he did it because he wasn't psychologically coherent to begin with. And don't think the year and years of drug usage doesn't eventually 'add up'. Wear and tear is a normal part of aging. I' sure he would have been better at weathering a process like this when he was in his 30's.

So, the satanist Bourdain, who probably went through all the masculinist secret society trauma cults that this world has to offer him, got humiliated by a girl he was deeply in love with. So, maybe, he would have been better off keeping his heart closed, given this is the point and purpose of the trauma-cults to begin with (unless you subscribe to the crowlyean bullshit); because when you open it up, it can be a bit like padnoras box; too much of the 'others' influence gets in, and if its destabilizing, and dissonant, it'll throw you out of your normal stability. That's what probably happened to him, and of course, being a nihilist/atheist, what was there to live for? Nada. Nothingness seemed a preferable option to continue on existing.

  2. I discovered The Wonder of Anthony Bourdain through your remembrances and I watched reruns and loved them for some reason I didn't ever watch him when he was alive. I don't like creepy food and two, I don't watch the Food Network or CNN, often .
I don't like your politics anymore than you liked Anthony Bourdain's ( although I have an extreme distaste for Rose McGowan and Asia Argento – didn't A.A. burst into flames when she was SUPPOSED to be delivering an AWARD to an actor?!) but I certainly love the respect and memories you showed for him and shared of him.
No disrespect to Ms. Woldever whom you're interviewing- she's nice and I thought her insights were incredible, in fact I watched it twice, but I thought the movie was unnecessarily morbid, and I wish I'd never watched it, if I could burn sage in my brain I would.
He was a wonderful man it's clear you really miss him I'm so sorry for your loss of a friend clearly affected you, . and when you're not talking politics, I actually like your show a lot..
