This is a almost universal belief I'm most of the world. In some cultures is a state of mind. It's gonna take time for people to open there eyes.
Kindness is weak when there's an agenda behind it. When it's used as a form of manipulation instead of being direct, like a "nice" guy trying to get in with a girl or a friend who expects something in return. It's a strength when you're kind with no strings attached because your cup is full enough and you want to fill someone else's.
INCOME taxes-whether flat or progressive-are wrong and discriminatory.
Most revenue should be from one national sales tax. That would be the most fair.
The only federal social infrastructure program is universal healthcare-and even their there should be a parallel private track.
Seems to me many of the wealthiest people are some of the greatest beneficiaries of government funds and assistance. Just cuz they aren't getting it from the DHS office doesn't mean they aren't getting it.
I didn't know I was a socialist until American media told me I was. I just thought I grew up in a country were Everyone gets Tax dollar funded health/Hospital care. Where No child goes without seeing a doctor when needed. We call it being a decent human being, US media call us socialists.
