A religion of do's and don'ts, adhering to principles instead of the living God, is actually a religion of the flesh. Even while outwardly mortifying the flesh, the flesh is actually being glorified. This is wickedness. The roots of the Essenes have been exposed by Gary Wayne, as you know.

The Mormon doctrine of priesthood keys and authority is strikingly similar. Only their baptism is "legit" before God. It's backed by legitimately obtained "Preisthood authority" Reason why they claim the Mormon church to be the only true and living church of Christ on the earth. I was a member and I know it now to be a deception. But, the question still remains, "How did Joseph Smith came up with this incredible, believable lie?" My personal answer; it was handed down to him by those whose work is to receive and blind man from the truth.
In the "Pearl of Great Price," part of mormon's cannon, there is a Book of Moses, and Book of Abraham. I would love Zen to go over them and see how deception was perpetrated on unsuspecting, God loving people.
