Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez are the only good film makers left in Hollywood. As long as they’re still working, Hollywood hasn’t totally gone to shit.
The violence in that movie is tolerated because (yes Tarantino is a King and grandfathered in) but also because the Manson Fam, in some ways, attacked "Hollywood" itself…It's a revenge fantasy. In addition to Sharon Tate – Roman Polanski & Candace Bergen were also supposed to be at that house the night of the murders (Roman maybe would have deserved it for other reasons but…). Hollywood lifts up movies that lift up Hollywood…whether it be a revenge tale (like this with violence) or a 'Hollywood saves the day" flick like 'Argo'. Not taking anything away from this – Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a dynamite movie…But Hollywood tends to be a circle jerk.

I like the film but not the ending. I do want to watch it again.
