to be honest, technology can enhance a live show but it will never be able to replace the experience of been there at a venue full of people and a live act on the stage.
6 months ago i had the honor to attend the grand opening of the chase center in san francisco with metallica and the san francisco symphony and dont think technology will ever be able to recreate the energy in the air, that feeling of 18,000 people screaming and singing, it was simply the best experience of my life.
The question is not to replicate a live experience but to offer something different. Like the scenery shifting to match the song. To be in the same environment as the music video. There's so much more cool shit you can do than a stage, some lights and a mass of bodies surrounding you
What is some cool old hippie dude gonna pass you a digital doobie? No way!
I post concert videos in VR/360. Here is Gary Clark Jr. performing at ACL 2019:

you CAN simulate the "crowd experience". It could be like a VR chat room, but everyone is in the audience watching the virtual artist perform
