You need to read Dr. Heiser on this. You will find that it is mentioned in Deuteronomy 32 and the plural did not teach the trinity, it was talking about the sons of God, the Bene Elohim.
Beautiful teaching
When God refers to Us he is speaking of the Divine Council, the heavenly host, the other Gods in his repertoire. God divided the nations up and gave them to these Gods, who he refers to as sons.. God later regretted this as these Gods led men astray into wickedness. In Psalm 82 6-7 God condemns his sons to mortality. "I have said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. But like mortals you will die. and like rulers you will fall.”
God also refers to "Us" in the garden after the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is eaten and shows genuine concern with Adam and Eve achieving immortality. Gen 3 22 "Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil. And now, lest he reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever…” BSB It seems that God is guarding immortality and also prevents humans from working together to achieve greatness.
