I bought mine online, direct from Audicus, cause I’m a broke biatch. They were $1200.
In addition to your hearing aids, consider turning on the #captions (as in this video…they are excellent!) on your TV.
That's not really a 'Hack'. You can do that with Starkey, Wydex, Resound and what I consider the best, Oticon. Some manufactures gives you the app for your phone that you can design different settings.

Cant do the 50 feet away thing but I've mastered mine to a very good degree as well for eavesdropping
