I have a friend with an odd hearing issue. Most all sounds below 70db are muted and he doesn't hear well. Conversations are best face to face for lip reading and then about 71db the sound pushes through the hearing restriction. Imagine being outside not hearing anything but muted noise then a car passes and is loud enough to scare him. He never gets the warning by hearing the car long before it gets close. Must be nerve racking.
What is the name of the device he is talking about? I need this
