I have read 'Job' several times, because I have been seeking a reason WHY my siblings and I have existed in misery, since childhood. EVERYTHING is destroyed, and the one thing I never dreamt I would lose was my marriage. She became a total stranger. That was 'the last straw'. Suffering just to suffer makes no sence at all.
I know God is in control and He is able to do absolutely anything.
But….I don't get it at all, why so much pain and loss.I have prayed over countless times, and folks just look asleep with their eyes open, they are so used to me being in misery.
Wow… I actually was bitter with God for several years when my youngest daughter died. She was a micro-preemie and died at birth 14 years ago. I wondered why God took her and I grieved profusely for years. I asked God to at least tell me why He took her… Finally when I ceased my railing, God spoke to me- in early 2021 while we were still going pretty rampant with the COVID pandemic. He told me that He took her then to spare me. God told me that He loved me so much that He knew that had I had to bury my daughter at 12 or 13, it would have hurt me so much more than burying her as a newborn as I would have built a strong relationship with my teenaged child versus the one between a parent and a newborn. Also, God knew that my Dad would be transitioning from life temporal to life eternal and He wanted my Dad's granddaughter there to welcome her Grandpa. This also strengthened me to the point where when my Dad passed, yes I grieved immensely, but I wasn't angry with God. Thank You Lord for being Intentional.
Job is much more about what you haven't brought forward. You fail to mention that his daughters and sons are wicked and follow the desire of their flesh, going about to the others homes and defiling each other. Try putting out truth, not suspicion.
