One of the problems with the cigarette debate is that the anti-smoking crowd tries to make people believe that all smokers want to quit and can't. Some people love to smoke and don't want to quit. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should be banned. We tried that with marijuana for decades and it did nothing. Now it's super "trendy and cool" to do.
I know a couple that smoke in their house with their dogs present, and with their
6 year old niece they have custody of, that is what people who smoke Cigarettes
do they don't just poison themselves, they poison others around them and
don't give a damn.
I remember when I was a kid my great aunt who lost her voice from cancer
and had one those things you hold to your throat,and she sounded like a robot,
yet she was still smoking cigarettes.
If you smoke/vape weed/tobacco in public you’re a pathetic loser
but without smokers, how will obese people feel a faux sense of moral and medical superiority?
perfectly fine to say that people shouldnt be allowed to smoke near others, it does effect other people. but to all the people suggesting illegalization in the comments, do you extend that to fast food too? they serve it in school cafeterias, and there is no limit to how much a child can buy at a mcdonalds, stuff that has little to no nutritional value, and is loaded with all kinds of stuff any body doesnt need, a growing one especially. i mean childhood obesity is a huge issue, not childhood smoking. if you're so ""concerned"" with other peoples health, why do obese kids not get your sympathies? do you encourage them eating themselves unhealthy and into addiction? if not, why dont we ban fast food by your logic, i mean, there's so many substitutes that it's completely unnecessary, it's pure hedonism.
it's funny because most people eat fast food, and they think, rightly, that they should be able to choose to make that unhealthy decision. but because smoking is something less done and less accepted, then that's perfectly fine to deny people the right to do what they want with their body.
