The red ring won’t always show up so please don’t rely on that. Best thing to do if you get bit is to send the tick into an online lab and test the tick for Lyme and if it is positive then you need to do the antibiotics to kill the Lyme before it turns into chronic Lyme. The tests the regular doctor will give you gives lots of false negatives but the tests on ticks is more accurate. This shit is no joke

This guy is half wrong . . . there is a ton of science showing persistent infection despite what is considered more than adequate antibiotic treatment. The persistent infection deniers actually had a study that showed that they couldn't even kill all the lyme bacteria in a test tube with ceftriaxone – the gold standard treatment. The doctors who are giving extended amounts of antibiotics are not the unethical opportunists that this guy portrays them as. Most of those docs who will treat long term either had lyme themselves or a spouse or child did – that's how they learned that short term antibiotics are not always curative . . . there is new-ish research from Tulane, Northeastern and even Johns Hopkins showing that a percentage of lyme bacteria can survive antibiotic treatment in persister form and then come out of dormancy later. – From Johns Hopkins – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIbp7U4wNzw&t=8s
