Glenn dies in the comics. And its kind of the game when you're on a tv show. There is no stakes if the main characters are safe. As an actor for a show, you need to be ahead of what's next for your career. Jon Berthal did it. Also, Steven Yung (Glenn) is still acting today. I don't think he's very unhappy.
The skull thing is easy to explain: bones become weaker once you're a zombie
what would’ve been a respectful way for Glenn to die? or Negan to kill him? like, Glenn volunteers to be killed in place of Maggie? is that not too simple and trite?
Killing off Glenn is actually spot on in the source material, bit the show did a fake put death a season before so it pissed people off
This is a controversial opinion apparently but for me the walking dead got good from season 4 onwards where they focused less on the zombies and more on the power dinamics between the people. The comics are even better though, I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the series.
