You are trying very hard to fit the text with church perception.
Because we think away from Gods direct thought, we have to give ourselves importance as an individual. The Earth is a collection of thought. The Earth was designed this way to develop thought which developed a higher awareness which was given by God in the form of Eve.
When Eve falls away, she thinks within herself and Adam. Her thought becomes solid through Adam. Before the fall, mankind was to think and give a discussion on what was being revealed by God. God showed Adam all the birds etc.
The collective thought would digest ideas and concepts of God and would gradually grow up to God.
The fall basically interupted this. Man thought for himself because he could not see God. Caine killed Abel. Self thought killed good thought. The soul is joined to every thought given birth to, in the kingdom of man. This overcomes the fall. Adams thought is kept here and the soul is like the mustard seed which is harvested by God. The true soul is absorbed into the Christ collective thought and developes or in reality, gradually becomes one with everything. Whole. At a point in our time, our conscousness will open up by choice and Christ will enter every thought created here. This means the soul will open up. The collective thought here will connect to the lower collective thought of Heaven. The thought that rejects opening up will remain here. It will be left behind. The snake did not want the energy from God to develop thought that would grow away from it. It would loose power of self. It decieved the naive higher awareness into keeping Gods power here on Earth.
All the troubles on Earth distract you into just surviving and keeping thought focused here. Thought uses energy and creates connections. The more connections the more power required. If everyone thinks of here, the more energy is kept here.
The 10 commandments says love God with all your heart. Thinking of God keeps the energy flowing from Christ to us and back. The Nephilim realised they could develop this way until they suddenly stopped and used the energy for their purpose and not Gods.
The 10 commandments then outline how not to use God's power. We look at the commandments from a human perspective. Look again. Each commandment starts DO NOT!
Do not use my power to spiritually kill another. Like Caine and Abel.
Do not use my power to create things for yourself and worship them above me. Etc.
