Ya know with the racism and stuff going on and what the settlers did here they destroyed and captioned the many nations that existed here and then stole from another nation and brought people here I think we should just go back and make all of the indigenous people in charge of our government and so it will be rolled by the rightful owners of this land
I studied this topic of natives history and its ripple effects for many years. System is broken as well as the people when it comes to native people. I believe we have to fix ourselves first then decide if its worth our time telling our story to deaf ears in authority. Problems always have a core causing problems that persist over time. My belief is natives need more control over the schools that teach our children. Average student before age 18, has a minimum of 28 teachers within 13 years and parents have no idea what any of these teachers are like in person. Our direct involvement is dismal at best in those 13 years. Gain control over what kids learn before their adults. Solutions I am hearing in this video I have heard 100 times and so far its caused more resentment than solutions. Educating the child until their adults is best way to recover over time. imo FYI: Love the podcast Joe
