Have watched all the clips with this interview and she is trying to answer as best she can but there is way to much to tell because to much has happened to many tribes . The recent discovery of Native Children in unmarked mass graves at the Boarding schools in Canada and US has trippled in numbers, into the thousands, or that we have the highest rate of missing and murdered women. The entire true history of the Genocide of the first people of the US. The atrocities beatings and sexual abuse, and sterilizations that were done by Gov and Church to the Indigenous children in boarding schools, That our Spiritual traditions were outlawed until 1978 and our Spiritual leaders were arrested and put in insane asylums and until the early 1900's Indigenous people were still hunted down for a bounty dead or alive just because they were Indian. And still I read some of the comments about how she is just a white woman speaking because of her skin color once again dehumanizing her because some still believe all Indigenous people are dark with high cheek bones and straight hair like they were acted out in Hollywood! It is hard to speak of what has happened because when we do we are made to feel like we are just blaming and we need to get over it that it is Unbelievable to so many that this country begin in such a ugly way. She is a well educated woman still trying to be respectful in her voice of the people. I applaud her for even trying.
