I like his points but he often communicates a protocol for athletes who have a lot of time (e.g. 4x45min of zone 2, 1x30min of high intensity, mix in frequent strength training, recovery exercises, etc.). I spend a lot of time figuring out how to stay fit and healthy but I’m not a sponsored athlete who can put this much time and focus in… as others have pointed out, if you have limited time, you better be sure you’re getting enough zone3 and 4, otherwise you might just get fat and slow..

  2. How are the classifying ‘elite’ strength? If they’re going by elite powerlifting totals etc then there is a 0% chance you would be elite in terms of VO2 and strength

  3. At 68 I had a quintuple (5x) bypass. 4 arteries were 100% block. The surgeon said it was because of being in such good shape that I didn't have a heart attack and die. 3 months prior to the bypass I did a 4x4x48 and finished 75 hard 3 weeks before the bypass. Cardio, lifting, body weight exercise and some bag work. Every day.
