There was once a similar thing instated in Australia that would require the removal of half-white/native children to protect the aboriginals. Many children of all age, even adults, were removed and forcefully taken away from their families and most never reunited, with many people now a days calling this now (thankfully) dead act an atrocity. I know the Indian Child Welfare Act is meant to help preserve native culture, but can we really say doing the same thing to these children is really any better than what they did to the aboriginals?
