The ICWA act specifies that Native American Children belong to their respective tribal entities. Tribes must be consulted in all social welfare foster care or other placement decisions with tribal priority placement given to the determination of the best interest of the child.
Good answer, because you ask a tribal military veteran and you’ll know exactly what this law means – this law is a guarantee that our tribal ways and laws can develop so that is tribes can be sovereign. Don’t mess with our children.
It is racist… any law that singles out a race is. My daughter has housing, basic nessecities, food and water. We're just not in the best housing that's all.
It does have all the amenities, though.
