I don’t think racism is the right word. I think insensitive or ignorant are more accurate, at least for myself. I didn’t know Native Americans felt that way. If I’d found sacred Native American artifacts on my property or in public land, I might display it in my home or even enquire if it were valuable. I would be devastated to learn I had done something so offensive.
