Ok so the Vatican was given a kayak about 100 years ago as a gift and they’ve had it looked after since then. It is one of the only surviving kayaks like it and now they want it back because “ it’s rightfully theirs”. This is where the term Indian giver comes from. I guarantee most of those things were not stolen but given.
Who gives a fuck about items really ..honestly I rather see my Taino people items display in a museum rather then locked away in a box for what ..no one can’t see it and learn about it … a lot of the natives that I know don’t give a flying fuck about those items…even a lot of tribes today have abandoned alot of their culture following etc
