What about in the Scriptures where it says…
"The dead know not anything."
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.
Ecclesiastes 9:5
For You will not abandon my soul (David) to Sheol;
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
Psalm 16:10
Abandoning would require that God would have let him go down to Sheol in the first place.
Oh that You would hide me (Job) in Sheol,
That You would conceal me (Job) until Your wrath returns to You,
That You would set a limit for me (Job) and remember me!
Job 14:13
and he said,
“I (Jonah) called out of my distress to the Lord,
And He answered me.
I (Jonah) cried for help from the depth of Sheol;
You heard my voice.
Jonah 2:2
