Interesting conversation, I like the premise of the conversation. I think Joe made the better points, not sure on the rational (reason) of Mr Pinkers points. Going to have to do a bit more follow up so I can get a grasp on his biases as they read ever so subtly in his presentation. It’s always better, I think, if you put forward a proposition, you need to do so with some foundational theory or position.
I love this guy. I didn't know his name. Stephen Pinker. I got it now. I like the way he thinks. There is major league hysteria out there and I'm trying to just see through this megaphoned irrational thinking to a rational thought process where Americans like each other again. This isn't a stretch. People are cool. Americans, mostly are cool. There are dumbfounded idiots everywhere, but there are more cool people then there are disturbed ones. A lot of this discontent is nonsense following a disease and cooler heads will prevail. Stephen is smart. It will all level out.
I will say this, the medical community that is left wing, is now a major part of the left fringe hysteria. These doctors are shrill and hyperintense. They have to cool out.
