The vegetable oil and starches based plastic Trunk was developed by George Washington Carver at the behest of Henry Ford. It was not like fiberglass with fibers of hemp. I got this from a book on George Washington Carver that i read 36 yrs ago. If I remember right, Soybean and Corn were the primary plants used.

3:40 I only found a few places online selling Hemp Steel, and it was super expensive. So I think that would be why nobody uses it.
