Do not say the guilty suffer as well as the victim, that is a lie. By David’s lack of action in punishing Amnon he made what the rape seem unimportant.. Amnon was not “sick” his ego and feelings of entitlement allowed this to happen. If Absolam had not killed him, no punishment would have been given. Tamar’s whole life was ruined!!!!
Johnson did help Amnon with the rape of Tamar. In the video it states he warned Amnon not to commit this horrible sin, that is not true.
How could someone not know Tamar was vulnerable and in danger, when Amnon says he wants to watch her prepare the food and to feed him by her hand.
He ruined her life with his disgusting actions, and should have been stoned to death
Narcissistic brother. Tamar's life destroyed and God could have stopped the rape just like he took David's child with Bathsheba. Why didn't God stop this?
I just revisited this story and it’s sad that a woman has to be ashamed of what was done to her body and to not get support. Thank god for her brother it couldn’t have been an easy decision but he stood his ground.
