Well GEEZ, Zen. I have a friend who follows you like you're an idol (sorry if that offends). See, you and I agree on the timing of the New Moon (first sliver of light) and that each shabbat falls exactly one week later and subsequently for each of the 4 shabbats in a month. But today, she says that you follow sunrise to sunset — meaning that when your calendar says Saturday, you mean Saturday morning to Saturday evening. How is that possible, when the new moon was sighted Saturday evening of Dec. 8th? That would mean that you would celebrate new moon day on Sunday… I mean, you really couldn't retroactively celebrate new moon day. HOWEVER, she insists that you celebrate this month on Saturday. So, which is it? Will you PLEASE CLARIFY???????

The Nag Hammadi texts are some very heavy reading that's for sure. I avoided it for a long time, due to the attacks it comes under from so many people. Then I read it and it has so much important things to say I cant believe it doesn't get more attention. It confirms over and over again the teachings and acts of our Messiah only on a different level. While it is not scripture, and I don't hold it as such, I also don't find things in it that go against the word, more like expansion and further explanation it. Anyone who has not read it should at least consider it.
