My understanding was the Rangers were already there in the hospital when the SEALs landed.
I remember the Jessica Lynch incident quite well (I think anyway). My recollection is that, not only was the event given the Hollywood upgrade, but that some military PR guy had written a John Wayne-esque speech, which was released to the media, that Ms. Lynch had supposedly bravely told her captors. I was not particularly conspiracy minded at that time, but even then I thought the whole thing sounded like BS. I was pretty sure none of the BS came from Ms. Lynch herself, and I was glad to hear the guest confirm that. So, if you wonder why people today are conspiracy minded . . . . .
