I understand the virus attacks cells in the lungs and it's the body's aggressive immune response that fills the lungs with fluid and leads to bacterial pneumonia. I wonder if People with a lower immune system will have a less aggressive response to the virus so could be less susceptible to bacterial pneumonia?
