I believe Donald Trump tried to do a good job, I really do. It's just that he was so coarse and uncultivated that he was embarrassing. I believe the President of the United States should have class, a bit of elegance, some sophistication. No President should ever be heard to say that Haiti and some African countries are “shitholes” while praising Norway. Embarrassing. His speeches, to me, always seemed directed at the basest people in our society. He just seemed like the kind of person that would be standing around at a formal dinner, wearing a tuxedo, and think nothing of belching and scratching his crotch. And this was the President. Just cringe and embarrassing.
