Fear. Revere. I can fear God as a naughty child upsetting his father. I can revere God and accept the truth that I am part of his thought. Fear of upsetting someone because you love them is adorable. Many on Earth fear their fathers power of judgement. Remember that Earth walks away from God because it is focused on itself. The world destracts us through love of things and fear of loss. The snake says that if you look away from me I will make you suffer. It makes you suffer anyway. Like a bully, it makes you fear loss all day and all night. So fearing the lord our God should be revering God our lord. We then invite God and his love into our heart.
Those who shout, fear God or be doomed, push people away. Fear of not being of God is good. Worshiping the golden calf was worshiping oneself. Gold often represents work. In this case, working hard for yourself and adhoring your work. Self gratification. Making your world without God. Babylon made a tower to visit God on mans terms. King to king. Loving and desiring God, opens the soul which then reflects Gods thought within you which you reflect outwardly into the world you see. The world you see might bite back. The snake looses power when you focus on higher thought because you energy is given where you focus.

If I as an individial desire too much information or truth all at once, my ego cannot hold that information and stay an individual. Your mind would join the higher collective thought. Your ego would die. Look at Noah and the flood. God comes and floods the world with his water. Noah floats on top. Like being held in Gods hand. Man was made to think with God. Each mind was to hold truths of God like a memory. These truths were to be shared in Adam and put together. Putting all the truth together would lead to revelation of God. Hence, love me with all your heart (desire) and love your neighbors as yourself. In reality, your neighbor is you. Imagine a mind that suddenly split its focus into two parts and that divided and divided exponentially. Generation to generation. Thought made by thought. Gods thought made thought on a lower level. Us. That thought copies God and makes thought here. The world around you.
In the lords prayer it says protect us from evil. Evil is selfish thought. Thus, protect us from self absorbed thought that manifests outwardly. The golden calf. Thinking with God manifests truth which reflects outwardly. The snake fears and hates this and will react. Many will stroke the snake to have a quite life. Slavery.
