Especially the dishwashers… The dishwasher is the most important job in the restaurant business… Without a dishwasher, the bar can't serve drinks and the kitchen can't serve food… That's why all Cooks and chefs start off as a dishwasher… if You can't handle that job… You're not going to make it in the restaurant business… Just put your head down and do it😂😂😮😮😮 and forget about having a social life… The kitchen is your social life, and the people you work with…
Started as dishwasher, moved up to cook after 8 months. Been cooking ever since. 10 years now. It’s hardworking and long hours. It’s stressful and takes a toll on ones mental health as much as the physical. I don’t even like cooking, but I’m good at it and it pays the bills, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
