I'll be honest and say that I don't understand why there has to be faith. Why couldn't God or Jesus just appear to people and tell them, here's how you need to be, here's how you need to act. Instead we're asked to believe in a book that was written thousands of years ago, have religions which distort the meanings within, have multiple interpretations of the same verses and yet we're tasked to make sense out of all of that. And there isn't a single person out there that should say "Because then everyone would go to heaven". You all know that there would be plenty of people who would just simply say no I don't want to live my life that way.
Ishmael was born a wild child
He's talking about the kingdom of heaven. Far as I'm concerned, with an understanding of, or the ability to know the future. And he is saying, when men die who do not seek the kingdom, they will lose everything they gained here. And those who did seek the kingdom will have more than they did, there.
They have their reward. 😊
