It’s physically painful to wean off of benzodiazepines. Unfortunately I know from experience. I was prescribed them by a psychiatrist for 24 years and she constantly had to increase my dose for them to be effective. I took them exactly as prescribed I had to stop when my doctor lost her medical license thank the Lord! I had another competent doctor help me wean down to a bare minimum to keep my body from going into withdrawals. They are painful and your entire body cramps up and there is pain from hell If you have a choice NEVER let a doctor start prescribing them to you!!!!!
