Saul was a liar.
He found another way to destroy the belief of the teachings of Yeshua.
They were enemies. Gospel account is not accurate at all. Peter didn’t even author both of his letters according to NT textual scholars. So Christian’s don’t really know what Peter actually believed or felt. Until we go outside the Bible. Paul was an imposter, he played a huge role in the fabrication of theology and history. A liar and deceiver.
You say it gave him a complete 360 degree change which would not be accurate you mean to say a 180 degree change as that would be the opposite of what he was doing

Peter and Paul were ENEMIES!
Paul created his own gospel (referred to it as "my gospel"). The gospel that we are saved by "faith alone". He twisted scripture to support his "faith alone" gospel. Paul is the only person in the entire Bible who teaches this! CS Lewis quote about Christ was He's either Liar, Lunatic or Lord. I think a similar quote could be said about Paul. He is either the greatest teacher Christianity has ever seen or he's a liar, lunatic and a fraud. Considering the facts that he was NOT chosen by Jesus, did not meet the requirements of being an Apostle, began by murdering Christians and doing his best to destroy the teachings of Christ, and Jesus warned about Pharisees and not to believe anyone that says they saw me in the desert. Paul merely changed tactics on how to destroy Christs teachings. To believe otherwise would be to believe Jesus half completed His ministry here on earth, changed his mind about the Gospel when He ascended into Heaven and chose an unrepentant sinner (a despicable murderer of His people) to teach a revised version of the Gospel, because the original 12 Apostles were not up to the task.
