Been thinking more on this as everyone is convinced the devil is seperate from us as an individual.
In the Old testament, man is discribed as captured or trapped on Earth due to the seperation. The snake bites Her head and she treads on his heel. A circle of battling thought that leads to Adam working by the sweat of brow. That is, he has to work it out on his own without God just giving the answer of life and its purpose. The beast has a number which we can understand if we work it out. Their are 2 numbers.
The 1st is 666 but the earliest copy found of revelation gives the number 616. The number is said to describe man. In Hebrew, 616 means prisoner. Man live and dies on Earth but his thought is harvested through the soul which means that you are born again in spirit. Eventually God will re-enter the world He created and the collective memory of the minds that lived here will be purged.
Those in physical bodies at the time are to be pittied according to Jesus.
The deeper meaning is that God set up an awareness that could talk to God face to face and discuss God and His attributes at mans level of awareness. In an honest and open environment. Adam was the head who gave information to mankind. Mankind thought about life and gave back thought. Mankind grew and so the awareness got bigger. The more people their were, the more minds that thought about life. This meant more energy is held in keeping the thought connections alive. God adds Eve to help Adam work out his thought through the human race.
This positive feedback loop ended in the fall. Mankind looses control and suddenly their is confusion about the direction of thought. Eve and Adam produce leaders that represent good and evil. Split personality. They fight and evil wins. Self governing wins. Mayhem. The collective thought that was working together like one mind suddenly had to think for itself. People fight like Caine and Abel. People within the collective assume power over others. The heads of the dragon and beast. The collective human race was not designed to be independent. It was designed to think and give opinions. To work out the truth and grow. Samuel the prophet knew that a king of Isreal would not work out because the king would be man made free will.
This is why we need to follow YHWH as our king. Hope this helps.
Who wears crowns on Earth? Many follow people who wear crowns. What about the beast from the depths of the sea. So now their are two beasts. Where do the beasts live and work? Earth. The beast of the land joins the beast of the sea. The beast of the sea is past memorized evil that does not want to be a part of the whole of creation. The beast on the land is thought enfluenced by the evil from the sea but is physically manifested in human thought. It has leaders which people follow. The heads represent the kings or leaders and the body is represented by those who physically act on behalf of the heads. The horns represent power. The head only has power by people connecting their thought to the head and being led by it. Locusts eat everything without mercy. Man eats every animal, plant. Even dead plants and animals that form coal and oil are consumed. God creates a son. The Son creates within creation through Gods power and truth or knowledge. All the thought works together in harmony until the son allows his creation to have independent thought. The thought of independence took Gods knowledge and power and created within the lower part of creation a seperated mind. The thought or mind split into two. The concept of good or true knowledge and evil which is self knowledge. The thoughts battled and evil overcame truth. God sends evil thought to wonder the Earth. Humans are not allowed to kill it.
The world becomes evil or selfish. God establishes a new line of thought by Eve giving birth again. The generations born from this thought lead to Noah.
As God overwhelms the thought of evil man, drowning him in righteousness so the dragon desires to overwhelm the woman about to give birth in Revelation. The woman is taken to safety.
Arthur, Brian, Sylvester – call him whatever you like. As there are no such thing as THE Devil or devils it doesn't really matter. Those of us living in a free and democratic society are lucky to be allowed to believe whatever we like. Despite absolutely zero proof of some sort of life after death some folk, in 2022, still believe in the supernatural. That is your right. Personally, I try and love my fellow man rather than some magical entity living beyond the clouds.
The Church should change its name to, Satan, because it is the church that deceives the people every Sunday with their false teachings, and changed scripture to make it sound like it is talking about the false messiah Jesus.
