Since science has proven that infected animals shed prions into the landscape that are taken up by the soil and plants and can be passed on to other animals when these plants are consumed, then why is it if CWD is so bad that there are no hay embargos in place to prevent hay from being harvested, specifically in a high prevalence areas that is certainly infected, from being shipped all over the country? I have seen large herds of whitetails feeding in hay fields in high the highest prevalence areas and then be harvested and shipped all over to continue the spread.

  2. I killed a deer 2 years ago that had signs of this disease in an area that people don’t hunt, but feed the deer. I didn’t bury the carcass, but coved it with leaves. No coyotes or predators ever touched the body. There’s a smell.
