Well, as it seems, in 2022 two Americans "became unalive" (thanks, youtube autocensor) due to having eating deer meat, infected with CWD. See study: "Two Hunters from the Same Lodge Afflicted with Sporadic CJD: Is Chronic Wasting Disease to Blame? (P7-13.002)"
